My painting and pastel work come from a lifelong fascination with everyday life and the colors of emotions and memory. I try to articulate in a visual way the connections that exist between all of us and the unique beauty of those common threads.
Painting is an art form that asks viewers to come closer and to really look at a piece. I use color and texture to tell a story, to give a glimpse into a moment in time.
At the end of the day, I want people to experience a sense of connections and common ground when they look at my art, a feeling that they are not alone in their struggles and joys.
